Zhongshan lighting exports nearly 800 million US dollars began to pay attention to LED lighting production

In the Western traditional Christmas holiday just past, Christmas lights added many festive atmospheres. Many of them come from Zhongshan. In the first 11 months of this year, the total number of Christmas lights sold by the Zhongshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau was more than 50 million U.S. dollars. With the surge in export orders for lighting products such as Christmas lighting, from January to November this year, the export of Zhongshan lighting products increased by more than 30% year-on-year, and the value of exports was nearly US$800 million.

Liu Zhihong, director of the township office of Zhongshan Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, told reporters that there are more than 100 companies that currently have Christmas lighting export business in Zhongshan. In the first 11 months, the number of Christmas lights (including outdoor lights) that were tested and exported was 2712 batches and US$ 55.77 million. The overall quality was good. Before the market was dominated by Christmas lights made of incandescent lamps. However, at present, more and more manufacturers have begun to pay attention to the production capacity of LED Christmas lights, making full use of its high energy efficiency, high brightness and durability.

According to reports, once products such as Christmas lighting products do not meet the export standards, they may experience risks such as being rejected or not accepted by consumers. If the quality is unqualified or improperly used, it is more likely to cause fire, electric shock, and other dangers and threaten personal safety. For this reason, the inspection and quarantine departments have strengthened the export supervision of Christmas lighting. Liu Zhihong said that Christmas lighting has been included in the quarantine inspection project in 2008, but companies only need to apply for inspection, and the inspection unit does not charge for inspection.
